Winter is the season for slowing down, sharing good company, and enjoying a great bottle of Pinot by the fire as the colder nights settle in.
Late Autumn is slowly settling into Winter here, and the vineyard is settling into its seasonal rest after another busy harvest.
The vines have now dropped their leaves, leaving the rows golden and bare against the Central Otago landscape. While things may look quiet above ground, plenty is still happening behind the scenes. Winter pruning is underway,, and the wines from vintage are continuing their journey in barrel and tank as we prepare for the seasons ahead.
As the colder days arrive, our cellar door hours are now reduced for Winter. We are officially closed for regular walk in tastings over the quieter months.
However, if you are travelling through the region and would like to visit, please give us a call ahead of time. If we are around, we would be delighted to open up for a tasting and share our wines with you.
